Long thought to be the “Cadillac” of Veneer Core options, Baltic Birch Core is most often chosen for higher-end projects. With thin, evenly peeled Birch plys usually of 1.5mm thickness, it dovetails, miters, fingers and rabbets beautifully. The final edge is often left visible to show the inherent beauty of this virtually void free construction. Because of its Birch plys, screws bite and hold to this substrate better than any other core offered. Baltic Veneer Core has a low propensity for core telegraphing and is the hardwood plywood choice for high quality manufacturers.
